Happy More Oreo Day!

Several months ago we were naming all the holidays we celebrate in America with Olivia. Going month by month, she could almost name them all by herself. When we got through half the year she said "Wait, what about....you know.....that one holiday.....the cookie one?" We were a little confused. I said, "the what, the cookie holiday?" She said, "ya, you know, the more-oreo day". Still a little confused. "You know, the more-oreo day". OH!!!!!! "You mean Memorial Day!" We laughed for quite a while with that one.

On a serious note, we send our sincerest appreciation and gratitude for those who have given their lives in service to this country and to those who continue to put their lives on the line each day to preserve the freedoms that we all take for granted. And a special thank you to the families of these service men and women. I cannot fathom where our country would be without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Happy Memorial Day!

Photo shoot in Old Town

A friend of ours took some pictures of the girls last night. If I could I would have posted every picture she took! She did such an amazing job! And it helps a little that my kids are GORGEOUS! (I'm the mom, I can say that.) Let me know if you need a photographer. I know a great one!

My Mom

Written and illustrated By Olivia Laws (HER ANSWERS IN CAPS)

My mom's favorite food is POSTU (Pasta) but she doesn't like FISH.

The thing my Mom likes to do for fun is GO TO DISNEELAND.

If Mom could have one wish come true, she would wish for A CLEEN HOUS.

I hope my Mommy always knows FOR ME TO BE GOOD. (Livi is very concerned with always doing the right thing.)

My mommy looks funny when she HAS A SILLY FACE but I know she is really mad when she SCREEMS. (I really don't "screem" that much! I promise!)

She spends most of her time AT THE CUMPYOOTR. (I was SO wishing she had said something like, "playing with me" or "doing homework with me" or "making me food" etc.... Oh well!)

This was from a little book she put together at school for Mother's Day. I know she loves me and I think I am a good mom. However, it is obvious, I need to spend less time on the computer and need to stop screaming when I'm mad. :) She is right though, I do LOVE a "cleen" house and I do LOVE "disneeland".
Today I went to a Mother's Day party at school. The kindergarten put together a spa-day for us mommies. They did our nails, hair, make-up, and fed us yummy snacks. It was adorable and so sweet.

There is nothing I ever wanted more in my life than to be a wife and mother. Truly, it was all I ever REALLY wanted in life. Call me old fashioned. I LOVE being a mom. My kids are my whole world and when I sneak into their rooms at night and check on them, and kiss their little cheeks, and wrap them in their blankies, I cry and then I hit my knees and thank my Heavenly Father for such a blessing and gift.

T-boy is turning ONE!

My brother Brady and, his wife, Megan came down for the weekend so we made a very quick trip down to my parents house on Saturday to celebrate, only a few days early, this little guy's FIRST birthday! It was a very fun day and I must say I just love this kid! He's sweet and calm and just so YUMMY! I would like one just like him, PA-lease!
Happy FIRST Birthday little man.
You are so loved!
