Happy Birthday!

We celebrated DuVall's birthday last week with a little family party, as requested by the birthday boy, cake and ice cream and no hoop-la.
We enjoyed celebrating our hubby and daddy and count our blessings each day for his presence in our lives. I certainly don't say it enough, but I do realize just how blessed I am to be married to my best friend. Life just keeps getting better with him around.
With all my heart, I love you DuVall!

Emma's Day

Today makes three years since we lost our Emma Marie. Time is truly an amazing thing and yet there are moments when I feel I have just lost her. Those are the times I cling to the things I know, the feelings I felt that night I held her in my arms and stared into her perfect face.
Oh, how we miss you baby Emma.

Earth Angels...

Grams and Gramps came down this weekend to help us and I just have to say... they are truly angels on earth. Grams finished all of our laundry which was literally piled up to the ceiling and Gramps played with the girls and bought us take out. It was wonderful to have the help and even more wonderful to spend some time with them. Olivia and Abigail cannot get enough of great-gramma and great-grampa. We love you both and appreciate all you do for us. I really could not have made it this weekend without you!

(For those wondering why my laundry would be piled so high....(well, its always piled high, but this was extra, extra high) On Monday evening DuVall rushed me to the ER with severe left sided abdominal pain. While in the ER I was told I was pregnant and that I most likely had an ovarian cyst rupture and that's what was causing the pain. After a few tests/scans it turns out I was having a miscarriage as well as an ovarian cyst rupture. I had no idea I was even expecting. They were worried that the pregnancy was ectopic and that I might be bleeding internally so they admitted me and kept me until Tuesday evening. Needless to say it was a shocking and crazy couple of days and now I am just trying to recover. My doctor thinks I was about 7 weeks pregnant. Sometimes ignorance is really a blessing.)

Little rockstar...

We caught Livi outside singing like a rockstar.
This is what she chose to do when we asked her to go outside and play.
She was singing her own made-up songs.
Too cute for words.

(Seriously, go ahead. Click on the picture and tell me that's not hilarious.)
